Stephen has had an exciting career with Con-way that has enabled him to travel to and live in different parts of the country. This has allowed Stephen to cultivate friendships in the communities where he has lived — relationships that will last a lifetime. Working with Con-way has also provided him with opportunities that have allowed him to develop both personally and professionally. In his role as Regional Sales Manager, Stephen is responsible for overall management and development of 15 account executives in one of the largest less than truck load markets in the country. His primary responsibilities involve the individual development and growth of his sales team to ensure a customer centric approach to providing logistic solutions to our clients. Stephen’s goal is to have the top producing sales team in the company and to ensure that our clients truly see the differentiation in Con-way from our competition. Coaching and teaching are important roles in Stephen’s career and is vital to his team’s success by ensuring they become experts in value creation through continuous improvement in their question skills, business acumen and industry knowledge. Stephen knows that with Con-way, he’s part of a culture and value system that shares his appreciation for trying new things and striving for excellence.
Working with Con-way Freight has given Stephen a challenging, rewarding career that also allows him to pursue interests outside of work. He’s an avid sports fan who enjoys visiting family on the West Coast and in his home state of Michigan. His career has also provided him with the financial security he needs to tackle home improvement projects, and to participate in the sports and recreational activities he loves, such as golf, tennis, running, snowboarding, boating and fishing.
