Con-way Inc. Reports Third-Quarter 2008 Results
Oct. 22, 2008 - Con-way Inc. (NYSE:CNW) today reported net income available to common shareholders for the third quarter of 2008 of $38.8 million (after preferred stock dividends), or 81 cents per diluted share. The results compare to third-quarter 2007 net income available to common shareholders (after preferred stock dividends) of $37.3 million, or 78 cents per diluted share.
Con-way Employees to Deliver Anti-drug Message to U.S. Schools for 2008 Red Ribbon Week
Oct. 20, 2008 - Schoolchildren across the United States will get new red ribbons from employees of Con-way Inc. this week, as the company participates in its 18th observance of the National Family Partnership and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) National Red Ribbon Week. Con-way Announces Winners of 2008 Scholarship Program
Oct. 09, 2008 - Paying for college just got a little easier for 151 children of parents employed by Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW) and its operating companies. A total of 51 new students - along with 100 continuing students - have won financial grants through this year's Con-way Scholarship Program. Founded in 1991, Con-way established the program to support the educational pursuits of employees' children who have demonstrated outstanding academic, extracurricular and civic achievement. The company has awarded more than $2.9 million under the initiative to date.
Con-way Freight Honored by Tennessee Trucking Association
Oct. 02, 2008 - Con-way Freight received a first-place fleet safety award at Tennessee Trucking Association's (TTA) Annual Convention. The less-than-truckload carrier and subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW) today announced that it was recognized by TTA in the Less-Than-Truckload 15 Million Miles and Over category for its exemplary safety record and practices. Con-way Updates Earnings Guidance
Oct. 01, 2008 - Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW) today announced that 2008 full-year earnings from continuing operations are expected to be between $2.60 and $2.80 per diluted share. Previously, Con-way expected 2008 full-year diluted earnings per share from continuing operations to be between $3.00 and $3.40.
