Transportation Representative

Job Summary: This position is an exciting chance to start and grow with a new account. The account is the Department of Defense and is responsible for supplying government installations across the United States. Menlo is looking for a customer service professional with a Transportation background to interact with the customer and various transportation carriers.
Summary of Job Description: The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact with multiple customers, carriers, and other Menlo personnel. It will require self motivation and dedication with little supervision. This position is on site at the Defense Depot which will require the candidate to be an excellent representative of Menlo Worldwide
Responsibilities:
  • Answering inquiries from customers
  • Investigation and resolution of issues
  • Updating and/or tracking of orders and shipments
  • Monitoring trailer pool in order to provide constant availability
  • Pick up and delivery scheduling
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years previous experience in Transportation and Customer Service
  • Strong systems aptitude with emphasis on Outlook, Word, and Excel as well as transportation systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Understanding of Transportation Operations

Additional information:

  • 2nd shift – 4:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.
  • 3rd shift – Midnight – 8:30 a.m.
  • Part-time – Saturday and Sunday 6:00am – 4:30pm
