| Job Functions: |
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a department in Kansas City, MO. Responsible for leading team leaders and hourly associates in daily production which results in safe work environment, with motivated associates, high quality products, and consistent on-time deliveries to the customer. Full accountability for performance measures and reporting of metrics on a daily and month basis. Also responsible for driving Menlo’s lean principles through waste elimination and continuous improvement. |
| Responsibilities: |
Responsibilities of the position include:
- Ensure safe work environment for all employees
- Use lean tools to drive productivity improvements (takt time, cell balancing, visual controls, pull systems, one piece flow, etc.)
- Lead activities with cross functional team
- Mentor and coach associates
- Ensure employees are well trained and cross trained
- Drive Lean Manufacturing System in department
- Identify and lead continuous improvement projects as required
- Interact and communicate with customer on daily basis
- Provide daily, weekly and monthly metrics to management
- Exceeding customer metrics (cost, quality, and responsiveness)
- Auditing standard operating procedures regularly
- Effectively interact/communicate with management team
- Other tasks as assigned

| Requirements: |
- Lean manufacturing experience required
- Entrepreneurial mindset, creative “think outside the box” approach
- Advanced Problem Solving skills
- Advanced in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access is bonus)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- WMS experience preferred
- College Degree or 3-5 years supervisory experience in a production or warehousing environment
