| Position Summary: |
Accountable for production and full support of operations. Expertise should include knowledge of all warehouse operations, including order integrity, shipping, Vas, receiving, security, inventory control, transportation and other related supply chain service requirements. |
| Primary Responsibilities: |
This position is responsible for distribution operations at the Raleigh America facility located in Fontana, California. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Defines requirements for operation and ensures the implementation of new strategies and initiatives & customer expectations.
- Administers and communicates company policies & procedures.
- Coaches and develops staff and otherwise carries out supervisor responsibilities in accordance with the laws.
- Manages quality system and continuous process improvement within the facility.
- Responsible for exceeding customer metrics (cost, quality and responsiveness).
- Establish performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews with direct reports, and ensure that performance feedback is provided to entire workforce on a regular basis.
- Regularly reviews performance expectations with leadership team – providing expectations, performance development and performance discussions.
- Efficient management of operational resources (space, equipment and personnel) to meet production goals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Strong team leader with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to pull together operations teams consisting of receiving, configuration/forward pick, pick-pack, shipping, VAS, inventory control, and returns management across all shifts.
- Good customer service and communications skills are essential to success.
- Strong technical skills, especially with WMS and related shipping systems are necessary.
- Actively lead and manage operational functional teams and shifts on daily basis to achieve positive results in an efficient manner.
- Conduct frequent statistical analysis of facility layout, pick routing, forward pick configuration, and develop strategies for optimization.
- Analyze production forecasts and develop/implement operational plans to meet projected demand volumes.
- Monitor productivity results and adjust resource utilization to optimize operational efficiency.
- Foster effective working relationships with internal and external customer contacts.
- Resolve customer service issues in a prompt and methodical manner.
- Monitor end-of-day processes to ensure transaction accuracy and activity on a daily basis.
- Ensure that the facility is clean and well maintained.
- Lean methodology is utilized and sustained.
- Maintain safe working environment and ensure that safety programs are active and effective.
- Fully support operation’s security program.
- Ensure that workforce is effectively trained in current processes, technology, and material handling equipment.
- Manage costs to budgeted targets; track special project/out of scope activities and costs. Monitor production quality and develop immediate corrective actions for quality issues.
- Establish strong working relationship with customer; cultivate strategic operational goals and objectives.
- Assume additional responsibilities as necessary.

| Requirements: |
Strong organizational and leadership abilities. Superior knowledge of inventory control processes and forward picks configuration and slotting. Proven continuous improvement results (process, efficiency, and quality). Strong written and oral communications skills. Efficient with MS Suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) and WMS computer applications (MS Access experience highly desirable), Impromptu report writing. Experience with financials, budgets, AR/AP and forecast preferred. Minimum - Associates Degree in business or related field (Bachelor’s Degree highly recommended); trained in Quality practices and Process and Project Management Three to five years of operations leadership at supervisor or above level. Direct experience in Warehouse Operations Management. Experience and knowledge of the following functional areas – distribution, inventory planning, operations analysis, forward pick configuration and strategy, and WMS systems. Must have the ability to understand the company’s overall business strategy. This candidate must have leadership skills to coach, counsel and mentor the team to the next level. |

The employee is regularly required to stand or walk for extended periods of time, use hand and fingers to handle or feel tools or equipment. The employee must frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
