| Summary of Job Description |
Manages the information technology systems in accordance with organizational policies and goals. Use independent judgment to create IT solutions to drive across the Logistics center. Performs and participates in the day-to-day leadership of department processes and resources to meet organizational objectives. Contributes to a work team environment and demonstrates excellent customer service skills. Promotes teamwork and partnership and performs daily functions within Menlo's safety guidelines. |
| Responsibilities |
- Works closely with operations management to analyze IT function and recommend solutions to better utilize information systems and improve efficiency.
- Ensures computer equipment, hardware, and software are running effectively, troubleshoots problems, and handles upgrades to meet organizational needs.
- Develops and manages business project plan installation of any new equipment and software supporting the project, or business enhancements.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Establish, develop and monitor mapping changes for any future systems upgrades.
- Database programming to develop reports and metrics for system compliance and adherence to best practices within the organization.
- Implement and manage the WMS system functionalities. Coordinates with Portland IT on all system failures and management of issues to ensure site productivity.
- Utilization of process mapping, CAD drawings and building design and floor plan.
- Driver of process improvements.
- Uses Lean tools such as kaizen events, Kashumi maps, A3 forms, etc.
- Performs ROI (return on investment) analysis to drive capital expenditure approval.
- Performs time studies and cost benefit analysis.
- Acts as Project Manager for implementation of new IT and Engineering solutions.

| Requirements |
Degree in Computer Science and/or Industrial Engineering desired. Experience may be substituted for education. Engineering background with IT knowledge.
Knowledge of:
- WMS operating systems.
- Departmental operational software and hardware systems.
- State-of-the-art technology and the ability to incorporate new concepts into the planning and implementation processes for systems applications.
- High-level utilities used to install and maintain the mainframe, online, and networked operating systems. Knowledge of current teleprocessing disciplines.
- Time study practices and ROI analysis
- Read and interpret technical manuals and specification documents.
- Analyze and recommend purchase/lease of new systems equipment and software.
- Interpret process mapping, CAD drawings, building design and layout.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers; ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to understand material, process and data flow for optimum results.
- Must posses the ability to work well with others with little supervision in a fast paced multi-tasked environment
- Proven track record in driving process improvements.
- Experience with a Quality system (Six Sigma, ISO, etc.).
